Content is the key to any good SEO strategy. Modern Plastic Surgeon is a web-based publication intended to attract and distribute high quality content throughout the plastic and cosmetic surgery vertical. As Content Strategist at NSE Media, I was responsible for establishing and implementing on the editorial vision for Modern Plastic Surgeon, as well as for the generation of the vast majority of its native content.
The Goal
Modern Plastic Surgeon was a website that had been around for a number of years but hadn’t quite found an audience. So our team wanted to give the website a little extra attention and bring the branding and content up to the standards of today’s users.
The Solution
As part of the team at NSE Media, I created the vast majority of written content currently on Modern Plastic Surgeon. That included generic procedure pages that would remain static, as well as regularly updated articles and blogs.
The overall article structure was overhauled. Where once they had been short and shallow, we made a concerted effort to ensure every article was over 750 words and when possible included infographics, video, and detailed references. Design and overall branding was handled by Nick Engebretson and the rest of the team at NSE.
The Results
In part due to the improvement in content and branding, Modern Plastic Surgeon has found significant audience traction over the years.
